These two are traveling across the U.S. and teaching seminars on off camera lighting using camera flashes. David Hobby is leading off with classes on manual in the morning followed by Joe McNally in the afternoon on TTL. Attendees will also receive a bag of various merchandise provided by sponsors [4].

I was checking out the site promoting their tour and it looks pretty interesting. I know it doesn’t have much to do with photography but I like the caricature they have of themselves on the site. I think it has some pretty interesting lighting on it.
ReplyDeleteDid you make it to the flash bus tour? It looks pretty pricey. It costs nearly a hundred bucks to attend and another $140 if you want one of their DVDs. Are these guys that good? If you had the cash would you spend $140 for a DVD of one of these guys? Of course if they are that good you could get both of the DVDs for $250 above the price of admittance. It’s a bit too rich for my blood, I’ll just keep reading your blog and hope that you take good notes when you go to these things.
